Personally I've always had the sense I was pissing into the ocean when I post my artwork online, especially when I see the beautiful contributions of others that far surpass my own feeble attempts. I only went to the furry community once it became obvious that being a furry meant I didn't have to explain why I have fun drawing horrible or pornographic things, it's a lot easier that way even if it isn't true.

I can understand that.  It’s nice to be able to draw whatever, but I like to do that out in the open, not on a furry site.  I shouldn’t have to apologize to my general crowd for drawing things they might not want to see as long as I’m considerate enough to make sure it’s properly marked/in the right spot.

And it does suck to be kinda drowned in obscurity.  The only solution is getting a lot better so people notice you.. and that takes a lot of work.  Or I guess you could stick to a small community too, like that.  There’s lots of approaches, and it’s shitty it’s so hard to find really talented people sometimes (sorry if this got a little off topic)
