Dear PK, before I started reading your blogs, and was just watching your art on DA, I could never think of artists like you as real people. To me, you were like a super talented machine without feelings or something. But reading your thoughts here for a while... it just made me realise how stupid that was. It made me understand all those amazing artists are just like me, just more talented. I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for unconsciously teaching me that.

I have a lot of trouble posting my thoughts on my dA because I see that, somewhat, as my professional portfolio (it’s landed me a lot of work) so I try to keep my rough, blunt opinions in a spot that’s a little harder to get to (but not too much).  It’s super easy to dehumanize artists when they post so little comments… it’s easy to forget they’re people, that there’s a face behind it! I don’t want to start anything on my dA where I want it to focus on art, but I feel like tumblr is a little more of a place where I can say what I think.

So I’m glad! I’m glad to hear that; I think it’s super important people share their thoughts, and it’s nice to have a place to do it in.
