Callahan isn’t like that. It’s actually a good thing that Callahan was the one asked to do it - he’s not the type to interfere, and he likes a good story. In all likeliness, he wanted to see how things played out. But also, consider this: Callahan probably expected that he wouldn’t even have to bother Shroomsworth about it, considering that he knows if the teams in the past ended up leaving or not. So think about it: if, say Callahan saw the teams succeed with Jasmine and then leave, and then they disappeared in the present and didn’t immediately reappear… what would he be inclined to think? Probably that something went wrong. So he waited for a bit to see if that really happened, and *then* told them about the locked box after enough time had passed.
The short answer: Callahan likes to watch how stories play out (he is a writer, after all), but he will do things he says he will do, also.
As far as Devonshire… well, I’d love to say more right now, but alas! You asked a very smart question though.
I’ll probably see to making a whole “summary of arcs” thing so people can understand what’s going on with a little more ease. I realize as I introduce more of these plot elements that people who casually follow along might have more of a problem keeping track of them. This is something I need to try to fix somehow, especially because time travel is a very confusing subject in general (and I’m trying to keep it simplified for this arc because I really hate when it gets stupidly complex) - so, please bear with me. If you have any ideas beyond a summary thing that I could employ to keep people in the loop, that would be great too. I want people to be able to follow along a little better; dA’s format makes it diffiicult, and the Wiki could be better organized too
