Do people really claim that? If so, I haven’t been paying enough attention.
I kind of see the “official” storyline as my own chance to participate in this thing, too! There’s not really any way around that… The stuff we do propels the story, but people don’t really have to pay very much attention to it if they don’t want to. They can just do prompts with the barest of information on each guild and on what’s going on and still do well and make interesting stories.
It’s just a little bizarre to me. The “official” comic/stories/whatever are really just us trying to make an interesting story like anyone else. Cameos are cool, but I don’t have enough time to make really meaningful ones very often. Sometimes I like to throw in a team I particularly like for a little bigger of a role, but yeah…
Anyway, we’re working on something that will make it so people don’t have to pay attention to the story as much if they just want to jump in. It should be ready mid-Jan or so, maybe a little earlier. I’m excited for it!
