Kec doodles: Feelings on furry art sites:

I’m extremely wary about any site that’s trying to cater to furries. I didn’t want a weasyl invite because I don’t want to go to FA-mini, basically. There’s an inherent problem with the way the community is set up to shaft artists and make them super consumable! It’s constant work for a fucking…

Regarding the whole “cool art, bleh ideas” thing, I kind of have the opposite issue as an artist. A lot of the time, I actually tend to some really neat ideas but when I try to draw them out, they come off mediocre at best.

I guess I’d understand better if I was super desirable or something but I don’t really have a single iota of talent in me. I guess that’s why my watchers tend to be comparatively few but sensible. And that’s how it’s probably always gonna be.

And while a small yet smart group of followers is ideal for me, it’s a bit depressing that I’m probably always gonna be mediocre and never really anything impressive. But I guess I’ll keep going at it since I’m an idiot and really, art is all I have in life. :/

So, accordingly to PK, if you can’t draw, you don’t have/deserve any right to create.

Good viewpoint. So anything made by any of my clients -or not even clients. Kato, by example.- is shit. OK.

Also its too noticeable how its obvious that she never used Weasyl, that she didnt see the “Collections” feature where people that uploads artwork done by others, can have the artwork well credited.

She have guts to devaluate other people’s creativity simply because they don’t have the same skills that her, even when they paid her to express it. Being a baby that bites the hand that feeds her…. ah, I forgot that there are 9999 other hands desperated to feed her. She is in a position where she can dispose of any person she doesnt likes.

That is not the case for every artist out there.

In any case, moving on. What else can I expect from somebody that predates the popular fandom of the moment (Pokémon first, now MLP) only to get money from it and nothing else?

Quoting something that a friend showed me: “Popular artists like her have all the power in a transaction with a commissioner. They can demand full payment up front and then take a year to draw the picture, or never draw it at all. They can treat their clients like shit, in public, and still have people lining up to throw money at them. They retain all rights to their drawings and could revoke the right to repost them at any time.

Commissioners repost art because they identify with the characters. They want the opportunity to provide their own narrative for a scene and to get feedback on the talking animals they vicariously live through. That’s kind of the point of the furry fandom.”

And I doubt I have to add more.

(This is the first and last rant I post ever about her.)

Pay attention.  I know about the collections feature, but if you’d read, you’d have seen that they were debating giving the commissioner the same status as an artist on a piece of art.  That’s entirely different from fucking collecting it in a folder of favorites or whatever, which I said like 3 times I had no problems with.

The people who have a problem with what I post are the same people who can’t fucking read or miss the point.

Most ideas are shit.  Not all, but most.  People with bad ideas shouldn’t get to sit alongside people who have worked fucking hard to get where they are just because they have cash.  Some people have really good ideas, but that’s rarer.  Still?  It’s about the thing created.

Anyway try not being douchey about bad paraphrasing next time.  I love people creating stuff and writing and whatever, but I don’t think “draw my green fox fursona with a dog dick muururrrrr!” counts as creating anything worthwhile of showcasing alongside the fucking art itself.

I don’t care if you think otherwise, because I probably want nothing to do with you.
