I frequently visit the IRC chat for PMD-E, and I'd really like to make online friends there, but I have a hard time just jumping into the conversation- it seems like everybody already knows each other, which i understand can't really be avoided. Any advice on how to make friends there?

well, if you just hang out for a bit and get to know the dynamic, then it becomes a little easier - feel free to just join in though!! honestly, that’s what everyone did, is just start making comments; as long as you’re not being rude, offensive, hateful, there won’t be a problem

but it’s hard to get to know you if you don’t talk!
